Dave Matthews Band. Simply a boring, bland, but also somewhat egotistical name.

Neutral Milk Hotel -- awesome band, terrible name. It's just one more of those self-conscious indie rock "let's stick three random words together" names like Olivia Tremor Control.

The Music -- another decent band, but come on. The Music?

Limp Bizkit -- also happen to be a crappy band. Needs no explanation, though the spelling of "bizkit" doesn't help.

(Any intentional misspellings are often lame -- even in rap)

If you read my original post, I never expressed any surprise at the comparison between the names. I just said NMH is an annoying 3-word random band name much like OTC. It's irrelevant why or how the two bands are related. The naming trend is still annoying.
