Utg and co have been lag all day but seem to know when to lay a hand down. The sb showed down crap before, but he was really short stacked at the time as his K,K had just lost to trip jacks. After that he doubled up twice with A,K. Anyway, now I am faced with a min-raise, a call and a big bet. Do I fold Q,Q?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em ($11.) Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP (t836)
CO (t1992)
Button (t186)
SB (t2290)
Hero (t1050)
UTG (t1646)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to t200</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls t200, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to t1000

Any thoughts would be great.

There is no way I can fold QQ here. Maybe if you were the 2nd big stack and the big stack was the raiser AND you were on the bubble. In this situation, you are 4th biggest stack and not on the bubble. You have a good chance of getting heads up against AK with plenty of dead money in the pot. I think you will be ahead enough of the time here to warrant a push.

Definete call. As a bonus, you can prob/hopefully expect the mini-raiser and caller to muck, so the pot is very tasty. If you lose to AA or KK, so be it, but this is a must play.

I wouldnt really worry about utg or co,do you have anything on sb? I would be almost certain you had him beat I couldnt see him raising this much w/ AA, maybe Kk but thats a chance you have to take especially at the 11's he could just as easily have aq, the size of the raise to me screams jj or ak to me

The raise at first look large to me as well, but then I looked the sb stack. He has raised to 1/2 his stack. Why not just push. He seemed to be looking for a call from someone? how or why is line flawed (clearly it is as everyone has said call. I just want to understand why)?

Thanks,

Ryan

Bones...I bet sb has 77-TT...the flat call of EP raise from CO has me worried...hope they werent the cowboys...its a strange, suspicious call if the guy is LAG...sb is pot committed,EP will get odds to call so he is in, and if CO holding big pairs you might be best off dodging the shoot out ,
BTW I'd push it in here and get ready to start another SnG...hope it worked out for you.

thanks all. I did call/push the extra what t50. utg and co folded and sb showed A,A. I just wanted to make sure I played it correctly.
