There is no way you should be calling the turn raise.

You got lucky and should have mucked the turn.

I am curious what people think of the villans slow play in this hand, particularly on the flop and turn?

I like how Villain played it. He got all his money in on the turn as a big favorite.

Yeah the turn should have been an EASY muck.

check the turn, and maybe call, depending on the opp.

betting the turn here sucks.

you got lucky imo but its what the other guy deserves for slowplaying trips. on that type of board with the possible flush situation. I think CO should have reraised your flop raise to around $100 in order for him to know what exactly you are holding because if you call then you probably would have a ace/king high draw if you go all in/reraise then you have a made flush and he should drop.

/images/graemlins/confused.gif He got 45% of his stack in on the river with a 4 flush on the board and none of that suit.

I am no expert but i dont mind how 8's played it.. he called looking for a safe turn card and knowing his opponent would have to bet out of position on safe turn card he could spring to life then. If a club comes on the turn he is in position to make a decision. Smart? Dumb?

I agree with Rainfall. I like the way the villan played it, because he waited for a safe turn and put all the money in. Plus, if he had raised the flop, he would take the hero out of the lead, and wouldn't necessarily have been able to get any money out of the hero on the turn.

It doesn't matter that the set got sucked out on, you should welcome a guy calling a pot sized raise on the turn when he's drawing to 8 outs.
