I'm in Ireland now. I've been playing at the Fitzwilliam Club on Lower Fitzwilliam Street. From what I understand it is the better club.

There are tounaments every night usually NL Holdem. The buy-in are 50-100 Euros.

The cash games are usually a 50 euro min buy in holden omaha PL and a 100 euro min buy in PLO.

The games and tournaments are good, but a little small for me. The people are nice, but I can't understand them. From what I can tell, "weldon" means "nice hand." A e25 chip is called a "pony." Four of a kind is called a "poker."

The tounaments start at about 8:30 pm. The cash games really don't get going until some people start to bust out, maybe around 10 pm. The club closes at 7:30 am.

I'll be here though St. Patricks day. PM me if you'll be here then.

As well as teh Fitzwilliam there is the Merrion which is supposed to be a nice place. It's older than the Fitzwilliam and I have heard has higher stakes but a tougher lineup.

I don;t mind answering, but it would take about 4 seconds of internet research to answer questions like these by yourself.

I'm a regular in the Fitzwilliam card club.
As Gabe said, tournaments every night from €20 rebuy to €100 freezeout. Tournament changes each night of the week.
The last thursday of the month there's a €270 freezeout, usually 120+ runners, first prize around €12000.

"weldon" = "well done"
"pony" = e25 chip, "monkey" = €500 chip, "ton" = €100 chip

I'm not as fond of the Merrion card club, have had a few bad experiences there. The cater for bigger games, serve alcohol on the BJ/roulette floor. Lately it's not as busy as the Fitzwilliam.
The decor/comfort level of the Merrion is a bit nicer.

Alot of the regulars in the Dublin poker scene post on www.boards.ie (http://www.boards.ie) on the poker forum. You'll get plenty of replies to any Qs you have there.

Is there a 24hr rule in Dublin?

If you play anywhere in the UK (Dublin isnt in the UK) there is a rule that you have to sign up for membership 24hrs before playing, although you may be able to be signed in by a member. So if you know your iteinerary then sign up with the big casinos most have the forms online nowadays, is free.

That is for Casinos and not Pokerrooms. I dount there is a 24 hour rule in Ireland, they are too chilled to worry about such detail.

There's no 24 hour rule. You have to register as a member of the club but it's free ad you can do it on the night you want to play.

One more thing. Somebody asked me what the St. Paddy's Day parades were like in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
