Thoughts so far...

Chiklis looks like hes put some of that weight back on from the Commish years.

Glenn Close is really impressive so far.

Little dissapointed that they didnt do much explaining as to season 3's cliff hanger with the strike team. We just hear that they broke up?

Either way, looks pretty good so far.

Um, what does that have to do with this thread?

And I have seen the first 2 seasons, I am sure I will come around to the next few in time. I think The Shield is definetly a better show than 24, but both are good.

I've never had the diligence to sit down and watch the Shield despite friends who have recommended it. I was wondering if it bore resemblance to 24, was better/worse than it, etc.

Its a different kind of show I would say, but it is my favorite cop drama ever. I dont know of anyone that got into it and disliked it, you wont be dissapointed.

Season 1 is really a masterpiece.

The Shield is one of those shows that once an episode starts, you don't want it to end. It is so well written and acted and very intense. I can't wait for the premier out here on the west coast.

The show is great. My wife has a friend who is a cop and so is her husband. They say it's well watched by cops.
