Got tickets to the Knicks Vs Miami tonight, so me and my buddy are going out to A & M's (a pretty good steak house).

What would you get tonight?

the filet au poivre. I have hit up that place for a few expense account meals. It is pretty solid.

If you're into shellfish get the 3-tiered raw bar thing. I had it there once when I wasn't paying. I wasn't thrilled with their steak but that app was very good... looks cool on the table too.

El is the food guy, no doubt. Excellent choices Devil Man.

Out of The Devil's list, Steamed Asparagus and Apple crisp is what I would go for. Also get the Caesar Salad, especially if they make it up right at your table.

Also consider a pre-dinner martini, which would go great with a light appetizer, if you like.

The meal..holy crap I am drunk, [censored] knicks, dyak(Rrikw3ern wade (or however he spells dwayne) is bomb.

We got...

4 JW Blacks on the rocks...to start. Raw Bar for two. The house salad, which was excellent, I have never had it there before and I was quite impressed, greens, fried onions, provolone, and a light garlic caeser type dressing. Creamed spinach, garlic Mash the porterhouse for dos. A bottle of ...shidt I dont remember, whatever the 60 dollar bottle of Cabernet was. Then two more JW Blacks, + a bud light for me as I smoked 3 parliaments.

Knicks game was good, corporate pimpdaddy seats, then a little bar action an some party 15/30 where I won 1400 in 56 minutes.

I will now lag it up at a party .50/1.00 table of my choice. Those who know my screenname can find me. (or just look for the guy with 3k + at the tables).

Much Love,

Matthew Peter __________

Thanks for nothing!

I had never heard of Angelo and Maxi's....but it sounded familiar....

Then part of my brain said, "It's a song lyric."

The rest of my brain perked up. "Yeah, something about a party, maybe in New York."

I tried to forget it. But my brain kept singing "at Angelo's and Maxi's."

God damn it, what song is that???

First thought: Billy Joel. They were all impressed with your Halston dress, and the people that you knew at Elaine's...sang that whole damn song in my head, and that wasn't it.

Hmmmm...New York....at Angelo and Maxi's....

Guys and Dolls? Nope, that's not it. But it's got to be close....

What rhymes with "Maxi's"?

Then I got it.

Anyone know it?

Been to the original A&M many times. LOVE the Ribeye.
Terrific Hashbrowns.

Save room for their yummy hot fudge Sunday.

Gee, what a way to make me feel worse about last night's excesses, then reading and remembering tuesday nights.

I'm on a downhill rollercoaster these days kids, and I'm loving the ride.

You should have gone about 8 blocks north on Park and eaten at Les Halles. Frisee salad and an onglet with frites.
