Here's the thing. I haven't been to the gym regularly in like 4 months. I've lost at least 10lbs and my once cut physique has been reduced to pale scrawny.

Therefore, for the next 2 months (until the week ending May. 14) I pledge to workout at least 3 times a week barring sickness or injury otherwise I will pay $10 (transfer over netteller) to everyone that replies to this thread.

I'll keep weekly updates with weight, athletic benchmarks etc. and MacDaddyWarsaw will verify that I have indeed gone to the gym the requisite number of times. Since its already tuesday I'm only pledging two visits this week, and because I'm horribly out of shape.

So there you have it, easy $10 for anyone that replies.

If you are really serious about something like this, this is what you do.

Make some tough claim like you are going to lose 25 pounds in 2 months. Now, make a legitimate bet with someone that you can do this. Give them incredible odds so they will take the bet. Bet a remotely significant amount, so you will have motivation.

Even if the bet is money -EV for you, it is overall +EV because of the increased motivation, and the likelihood that even if you fail, you will still have been close and lost a bunch of weight (even if you had to pay for it).

Making posts like this are fake motivation. You are not actually binding yourself to anything.

Ok, its past midnight tuesday so no more replies count - Superflous Man is cool cause i'm late. So by a rough count it looks like I'll owe almost 1.5k. First trip is tomorrow.

As Warsaw says, I have every intention of paying if I can't manage this. However, I'd put the chance of my failing at around 10% therefore I'm taking a $150 EV hit or so to get back in shape.
