As of a recent historic post, there is now a General Theory of Poker. This is a monumental advance in poker theory, and should be heralded as such! Here it is.

Poker is a game where maximizing the expected values (EVs)of your decisions maximizes your long-term profits.

We are not sure what that means. If it means that QuadNines should only get half the credit for the recent historic creation of the General Theory of Poker, then perhaps you would like to refer to his recent post on RGP in which he presented this essential theory to the world:

If you know of someone else who published this or a similar theory at another time, perhaps you would like to reveal who that might be. As far as we know, QuadNines is the sole author of the General Theory of Poker. But we are not all-knowing wizards, and could be mistaken. We look forward to any references you can provide.

If, on the other hand, you are suggesting that the General Theory of Poker, presented by QuadNines, does not deserve a lot of credit, perhaps you might like to provide a reference to a better, more descriptive, or more comprehensive theory of poker. Otherwise, we think you'll find that QuadNines' theory is a major contribution to poker theory, which will form the core of many advanced poker texts as soon as other authors catch up to QuadNines' thinking.

Are u friggin kidding me, this is the most worthless piece of crap ever wrote. What a friggin waste of time. He probably spent hours or days writing this piece of [censored] and all it really said "is that poker players need to make adjustments to different situations." No friggin kidding.

This "General Theory" is completely tautological. Neither Quadnines nor Quadeights nor Sklansky gets any credit for it - it's true by defintion, and applies to everything in the universe, not just poker.
