Essence of bullshit
Yet somehow exciting
So bad it is good

Haikus should have 7 syllables in the second line, not 6.

MMMMMMMMMM, all the good TILT discussion happens on WPT forum. Feel free to contribute to my poetry thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=tv&Number=1910410&page=0&v iew=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=all).

If this show is so bad, why do so many of you guys watch it?

seriously. in the wpt forum people who supposedly hate everything about the show can quote entire episodes. you're not impressing anyone.

I've never seen it, are you serious?

I haven't watched TV in like a month. Is it worth turning on the boob tube?

just saying if people like the show why bash on it? I watched the episode with phil hellmuth because I wanted to see the world poker championships, but I'm not lying about it. that comment wasn't directed at you, if that's what you were wondering.

No. The first episode was so bad that it was funny bad, and I thought it would be a fun show to watch for laughs.

Starting with the second episode, the shock of really horrible poker writing had lost its luster. Other than possibly the matador, there isnt a single remotely interesting character on the show. The story line was weak and rambling, I couldnt figure out where anything was really heading.

IMHO I think the poker players who watch this show just like to watch soap operas and dramas and stuff like that and don't really watch it for the poker. If you aren't into these types of shows, then you definately won't like it.

These types of shows? I watch plenty of TV hour long dramas, what is Tilt comparable too? I would agree with possibly the soap opera part, but no decent primetime drama is as laughable as Tilt.

It was not intended to be a haiku; not only does it not have the proper number of syllables for a haiku, it doesn't even follow the typical alternating emphasis or meter of haiku.

You ever watched Alias or Numb3rs? I'd say pretty much all dramas on TV except Tilt, 24, and Lost suck.

[/ QUOTE ]Even if it had 7, it would be a senryu, not a haiku. Haikus are about nature.

Jeez.

It's a MUSING, not a POEM, nolanfan.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. Alias and Numb3rs are examples of dramas that suck.

Tilt, 24, and Lost are three dramas (and the only three that I am aware of) that are good.

That's the reason the post was titled TILT musing--not TILT poem or TILT haiku.

Why isn't this obvious?

That really is the reason I titled it TILT musing not TILT poem--I didn't think it was good enough to be a poem. No joking there.
