Hey guys,

I tried a new whisky tonight. I started drinking Old Rip Van Winkle 90 proof about 3 hours ago.

So far, so good. The whisky goes very well with a full bodied cigar, like an Hoyo De Monrerey. I enjoyed an Excalibur while drinking my whisky.

Thanks to those who gave their recommendations on whisky last month.

I enjoyed Makers Mark last month.

Very good choice. I like the Rye too.

Try a CAO Brazilia cigar too.

For a mid-priced whiskey that you're planning to dump some coke into, there's none better than George Dickel 12 year (white label). Above Jim but below Jack, and I think Jack is overrated anyways. If you're drinking whiskey on the rocks, Buffalo Trace is excellent for the price.

I have one word.... - NO. But I'm sure Mike will watch it anyway, EVERYTHING goes well with good whisky!

Mike: Good to see you moving up in the world, when you are ready to jump over to single malt scotches or tequillas, we gotta have a serious chat. I used to have a liquor license in NYC if that tells you anything.

PS: Drink Basil Hadens next month, its my reccomendation.

This is somewhat nitpicky, but Old Rip Van Winkle is whiskey, not whisky...yes, there's a difference.
