I think you can probably shut 'er down here.

I assume you mean fold?

I thought so too looking at the hand afterwards against an LP-P. Against a LAG it would probably be correct to call it down I think.

The pot's pretty small. If your read is solid I'd fold it.

What do you do if Villain bets the turn instead of check-raising?

Disclaimer: I am not a good player.

I would say fold. Your only getting 8.5 - 1 to call to two outs if he has a Q. Even if he has Ace rag any river card bigger than your 8 kicker results in a split pot.

I also considered reraise and fold to a cap or a river bet by the villian. I usually don't see LP-P attempt a checkraise. I would think they would just bet it out. Maybe villian is taking a shot at you?

Interesting question. If he's really passive I'd dump it. Your read would have to be very solid though, like you've seen him check-call down with two pair or TPTK. Any hint of aggression in his game and I'd raise him, call it down.

Calling is definitely the worst option.

wow! i never see that play at .25/.5 i would be confused too. i'd probably fold to the c/r. they feared the A on the flop and assumed you'd bet the turn, and took you for more $$.

if he bet the turn, raise him. calling is definitely the worst.
fold to a reraise.

What's with all of you advocating a reraise or fold? You've got tons of worse hands that'll play here.

If he bets the turn why is calling down here the worst option?

Against a check-raise hate?

It's been a long time since I've played .25/.5, but from when I played it I'm going to say that the pot's small enough I can drop it there, but I'd put a note about probable bluffing and watch his future play closely. When I played .5/1, it seemed to me a checkraise was a bluff much more often than a trap and I was comfortable 3-betting, but that's awfully LAGgy and I was a pretty shitty player.

3betting here is insane with just TPMK. Insane.

I like your main line though, including making the note.
