View Full Version : Fairfax County Liquor Laws

Just moved to Fairfax County, VA. Wondering if someone can bring me up to speed on the liquor laws, I can't find anything on the internet. Stuff like times I can buy beer/wine at the grocery store. When's the liquor stores open (I know they only sell liquor at ABC). How late bars are open around here, etc.

I'm sure some OOTer lives in Fairfax County.

Actually you can't buy beer/wine past 11:45.

P.S. I great up in Fairfax County. Fairfax County sucks. All the cool people live in Arlington. That's where I live.

I would love to live in Arlington but I work in Manassas so driving 30 minutes to work every day is enough already. I moved close enough to DC as possible without being more than 30 minutes from work. I was hanging out in Arlington all afternoon though, went to China Garden for dim sum, over on wilson and lynn.

I ate at Chiptole last night. Two meals in a row is more than my stomach can hadle.

Now, once every other meal is a completely different story and, in fact, I ate there tonight for dinner. But I ate at the one in Fair Oaks, near my apartment.

Did you go to the Shamrock Festival? It was pretty fun I thought, but too cold as usual.

I don't know what that is but I think I missed a good amount of liquor.

BTW thanks for the heads up about 11:45, I would've left my house then and been EXTREMELY pissed off. I left my house at 11:25 instead and barely made it to the safeway across the street.

I'd give you my qualifications for making this statement, only I don't think 2+2 has the necessary bandwidth.
