Roger scores a four-of-a-kind in a quarter machine and is entitled to 400 credits ($100). But wait a minute! Roger gets up to notify a slot person that he has done so (something to do with a casino promotion). Now here's the problem. Roger got up without having pressed the buttons that would win for him the 400 credits. But he tells Martha, who is seated next to him, to tell anyone who passes by that his seat is taken while he goes to the slot person. Now Brian walks by and puts a quarter in Roger's machine planning to bet 5 quarters. Martha tries to stop him but it's too late. The quarter erases the 4 of a kind on Roger's screen!
Brian says "Uh, Oh...I'm sorry" to Martha who says, "You killed his 4 of a kind". Brian rattles and leaves the Casino.
Did Brian do anything wrong? Does he owe the Casino 100 bucks? Does he owe Roger his 100 bucks? Was a crime committed? Does the Casino have a responsibility towards Roger?
