The converter isn't working for me, sorry. Anyway, this was the beginning of my most heartbreaking loss ever. I'd come into the bubble short and had slowly built my stack until I was the chip leader. Of course, I'd been raising a whole lot, so perhaps I should have been more suspicious when LennysDad limped in. But I underestimated my opponent.

I think your play is obviously correct, just unfortunate.

I dunno, I can't help second-guessing myself a little bit. I'd been speeding around A LOT, and there had been no limping from this guy (although he was a weak SB-completer).

sucks man. i've taken to limping behind with 77 or mid pairs in spots like this. i'm assuming that even at lower buyin sngs, people with a ton of chips try to buy any action with their big hands they can, and would raise basicaly with anything that wasn't aa, kk, qq, or AK that is any good at all. so yeah, i play very cautiously when something who otherwise has been playing normally does something hella weird. if big stack has limped way too much, i'd push easy, since there's that gap thing going on, but otherwise, i'd have to put him on something pretty big for a limp in this spot.

oh, and to be fair: you could just hang yourself.

Dont forget that ilya has 1000 more chips than this guy...Even on bubble players often fastplay QQ-AA in this situation from the SB....there are 2 ridiculous small chips, a lot of players don't even want action with their big hands here. I think allin is really automatic.
