View Full Version : $10 from Pacific

I cashed-out everyting in my pacific account a few weeks ago.

They aren't offering re-loads....their software sucks anyway...playing there is annoying.

In the REGULAR mail today (not e-mail....but an actual letter) I got a letter from Pacific Poker that $10 has been placed in my account with no clearing requirement or anything (and then a bunch of crap about their exciting tournaments, etc)

My computer says I need to reinstall Pacific (I had some compter problems a few weeks ago so this is not surprising) so I haven't checked to see whether the $10 is there or not....but I assume it is since it said so in the letter.

I just found it kind of interesting.

Not sure why they would send me the info via the regular mail and not in an e-mail. I still get many of the e-mail promotional things for their show-down survivor series, etc.

I got the same thing in the normal mail. I already lost it. I can't stand that software.

I got this in the mail yesterday, downloaded Pacific, and cashed out the $10. Hopefully there really isn't a clearing requirement, as I haven't received any kind of "no you can't withdraw" message(s) yet. But with how long Pacific cashouts usually take, I will not know for sure until a few days go by.

Also, I had no money in Pacific either.
I dislike them and haven't played there for months.

I received this in my mailbox as well. I assume ten more dollars are present in my account but had no idea what was in previously. You can tell I keep great records. 'Stosh

You don't need the piece of mail. The money is automatically credited to your account. If there's no release requirement, why not d/l the software and cashout the free money?

MicroBob

right. You don't need the letter....it only was to inform you that they had given you $10 into your account. It's already there (or at least it should be).

I might actually sit-in on a $10 tourney or a .25/.50 table or something just to make them happy.

I don't know what their minimum cash-out requirement is so I was also contemplating depositing $40 in to get the $10 out if that was necessary.
Can you really cash-out just $10 at Pacific?

Taken from pacificpoker.com:
[ QUOTE ]
If your Cash Out request is for less than the minimum allowable amount, listed below, the funds will be returned to your Bankroll:

* The minimum allowable Wire Transfer Cash Out is $20
* The minimum allowable Bank Draft, ePassporte, FirePay or NETELLER Cash Out is $5

[/ QUOTE ]

I also would have blown the $10 in one of their tournaments. But since they didn't give me the +$1 for the tournament fee, I'll just take the free money.

Got 3 letters in the mail yesterday. Only can find 2 accounts. Oh well. $20 is better than $0

I never deposited with them before, and it didn't look like I could cashout to Firepay. I probably didn't look hard enough.

Awesome! I just re-downloaded the software (since I got rid of it after clearing a bonus there, ugh) and it's there. Now I have $10.64 in my account. Anyone want to transfer $0.36 for that tourney fee? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah I don't care much for Pacific, I just used it to lag it up and the NL tables. Good times, good times.. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I also got the letter today. I also had to re-download the software.

My free $10 is now a free $80.55

I thought you had to do the standard 5x play or whatever to clear it.

The letter has no fine print on it, nor does it mention anything about a release requirement. Still, that doesn't automatically mean there isn't one. We'll see how my attempt at withdrawing it goes.

I played the 0.05/0.10 to get above $11 and then played a $10+1 SNG and placed 2nd. That's the first time I've ever placed in a SNG. I think I would have won, except I made one egregious call HU. So I turned my $11 into $30 and cashed out. Hopefully it'll show up in my Neteller soon.

Doesn't Pacific take like two years to cash out from?

Brain
03-12-2005, 03:21 AM
I think it was a day or two when I cashed out the first time. I'll try to remember to post when it hits my account.

You can cashout with firepay. It is one of the options on the pulldown menu.

Awesome post. I haven't played in Pacific for months myself. Just logged in and found +$10 in my account.

How long do these guys usually take with a password request? I hadn't played there in over a year, forgot the insane random password they gave me, and put in a request 24 hours ago.

I haven't heard anything yet, but given that everyone got $10, I can imagine a bit of a backlog there. Thoughts?

I went through the same thing when I downloaded their software to grab the $10. I had forgotten that the password is random, and was trying to enter all my 'regular' passwords. None of them worked so I sent in the request for the pass. Shortly after I sent the request, I realized my error and found my password.

The e-mail from Pacific containing my password didn't hit my inbox until about 8 hours later.

I didn't get one from Pacific. *cries* Now I'll starve!

I did however get a very similar snail mail from 888.com, giving me a free $10 at their poker site Pacific, and telling me that if I read their short poker course I'd be raking in the money tomorrow. It was a beautiful piece of fishbait.

Too bad the software is the definition of bad.

I got the exact same thing.. within 2 days I also got a bunch of crap from some shady online casinos, and some mail from Intertops with an "install disc".

Free $10 is always cool.

Account was at $0.29

Sure enough, pacific put the $10 in my acct so I was up to $10.29.

Just took 1st place in a $2.50+$0.25 5-player SNG for $6.25 (actual win = $3.50).

Woo-hoo!!!

Account total now stands at $13.79

Not sure whether i want to roll the dice on a 10+1....or if I should stick with the $2.50+$0.25's.
Tough decisions here.

I got that in the mail -- but there was 0 in my account. I wrote an e-mail asking them about it, but I would rather be whipped by the gimp than spend ANY time on that site with that software....

Once I was playing there...I got hungry...humm, tuna sounds good...fold preflop...go start making tuna...continue to make the tuna...almost done...there, that looks good...clean up the mess...take a bite...yum...it was good...go back to computer...see the river card being delt...I hadn't missed a hand................

I will never play at that life sucking site again.

Yeah yeah. I know.
but it's such a tough decision.

Putting my entire pacific 'roll' on the line in 1 shot seems so dangerous.

I mean....what if I take a bad-beat and actually lose? I would be devastated.

I took the $10 and sat down at $1 blind NL. I post somewhere in middle position. First hand is AK, I go all in, 1 caller, A on flop, but T on river. That's it for my 10 dollars.

Wow, I just did the same thing. I went all in PF with AK: A on flop, then runner 3's for the guy's 73o speshul /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I went into Pacific about a week ago and found they gave me a $10 freebee bonus. I signed in tonight to play some, figuring I'd give them a little business. I went one orbit and logged out. I couldn't stand how slow the table was and the cards look very small also which was annoying.

I have confirmed that there is no wagering requirement on this free $10. If you want, you can just sign in and cash out the money with no problems.

I recieved the same thing in the mail. I logged onto pacific, saw that i had $10 in my account, went to the cashier and cashed it out to my firepay account. That was an easy $10. Thanks pacific... I think i'll spend it at Quiznos /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Funny, whenever a site gives me any money I ALWAYS sit down in the highest limit game the software will allow and gamble on the first hand of any quality. Hmmmm, I always lose too, maybe a different strategy.......nah, it's fun.
