2 Monitors Setup Question

So I set up two monitors for the first time...but there is a cursor for each monitor and when I move the mouse it moves them both. How do I make it so that there is only 1, cross-over cursor?

right click on the desktop -> properties -> settings -> "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" -> ok

It might help to get a multi-desktop utility from your video card manufacturer. I use an ATI card and the program is called hydravision - set up my monitors that way. NVidia has one as well, just not sure what it is called.
