I bought this when it came out and play it occasionally.

I was wondering if anyone on these boards is lame like me and plays this.

If so, I have some noob questions like... how are you supposed to ever advance and accumulate enough wealth to become significantly rich... are you supposed to just have children then pass on wealth to them? So much about this game confuses me.

Its cool that I can make my sims have sex though.

Yes, passing wealth down is one way to do it. Another way is to buy the fountain of youth reward. You can drink it to melt away your age (but it will only keep you at your current age, not make you younger). I think it has like 5 uses per purchase. You have an age bar somewhere that shows your age progression (i think it's a yellow bar on the bottom or something like that). I haven't tried this in Sim2, but my favorite way to make money in Sims1 was to marry a new person who lived alone, have her move in and get all her money, then kill her and repeat the process. I had a pretty good sized graveyard going for me.
