i will always bet out with tp, 2pair, and set if checked to me and there's a draw possible, no matter what my position is.

i won't get the most $ for my hand, but i also make it expensive for people to try to draw out on me.

with no reads and about same size stacks, is this always the correct play?

if not, then what's better and when to use it? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Depends on stack position, aggressiveness of the other players in the hand, how many players saw the flop etc. Heads-up with a short-stacked aggressive player, I'll checkraise top pair good kicker. With five players seeing the flop cheap, I'll bet around 3/4 of the pot with the set, especially if there is a possible straight or flush draw.
