With that many opponents I would have raised the flop, to try and get as much action as possible, but slowplaying is also ok. On the turn once the preflop raiser checks I think you have to bet, once you were reraised theres no way you should have folded.

2) Raise the flop

There is no way i would fold there. Ever. First of all, people overplay their hands in that game as a matter of routine. ANd second, he's in the small blind, he could easily have anything from Q9 to Q3s.

as a side topic, ive only recently come to realize that folding QTs UTG is the standard unless the game is very loose passive. when does QTs in fact become playable? UTG2? When do you open raise with this hand?

QTs is marginal at best.
I'd open-raise with it from the hijack onward.
I'd limp from MP2, but only in loose-passive games.
