$1500 stack in a 3 table 21 player tourney. I'm little blind. This is 3rd hand of the game, I still have most of my stack. Blinds 25/50

Me: SB with 6/images/graemlins/club.gif K/images/graemlins/club.gif
Folds all around, button calls, I top, BB checks.

Flop: 3/images/graemlins/club.gif K/images/graemlins/spade.gif 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif --- I check (I know I should have bet here, but having played with the button before, I knew he would bet), BB checks, Button bets 100, I raise to 400,BB folds, button calls.

Turn: 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif --- I bet 200, button calls

River: 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif --- I bet 200, button raises to 400, I call.

I have 2 pair K's and 6's, button wins with 2 pair K's and 7's.

What could I have done differently?

better bet on the turn, you're opening with 200 into a pot of ~1000.

but honestly it looks like you ran into a calling station and just got unlucky.

I guess when you look at it, he probably would have called anything.

I agree you've got to bet more on the turn, but you're not getting rid of this guy.

Bad luck for you.

My two cents,

Sam

You need to make a much bigger bet on the turn. He may have called anyway if he's a loose fish, but any decent player knows his K7 is beat with any reasonable bet on the turn. You have to make him pay something to draw to his 3 outer. You got unlucky but that's poker.
