No reads on CO. Game is typical .25/.50 loose, lots of calling stations.

What does a check raise like this mean? It doesn't seem geared towards thinning the field. Should I have just called?

CO checks to me again. Should I have just checked?

Believe it or not, I think you are still ahead here on the turn. Good 3-bet. A lot of the time the CO has an Ace with a kicker worse than yours. If he really had a strong hand (at least 2 pair) he would have capped it.

Of course you should bet the river.

Nice hand.

CO's turn raise most probably means he has an ace-rag. You correctly 3-bet his ass and bet the river. Now listen to his screams.

I would've played it the same way.

did he turn over A6?

I've read the other replies one this one, but I don't 3-bet the turn. My .25/.50 opponents aren't check-raising me with ace/rag here, I don't think. I call the turn, check behind on the river and expect to lose.

I had a very similar hand last night, although at Party 1/2 and with AQo, and it played out almost the same way this hand did (except he capped on the turn after my 3-bet). Not saying that every time the situation arises it'll be the case, but he had two pair on the turn. Luckily, I made a higher two pair on the river.

So having learned my lesson, I would have called the C/R and check/called the river UI.

I usually just call down in this situation, assuming that I was reverse-dominated, and and am now losing to 2-pair. I'm pretty sure it's a leak.

I play it the same way. I think you have the better hand on the river more than 50% of the time so you can bet for value.
