Hi all.

OK, I know I'm asking for it, but bear with this for a sec...

From a probability/distribution point of view, isn't it possible
due to the not-so-random mechanics of human shuffling that
getting a new setup (No I Don't ask for one, EVER!) can affect
a short-term distribution of hands? If a person had 3 hours
to play and felt cold-seated or cold-decked, is there a chance
that as we make fun of him he CAN actually change his short-
term hand distribution with another set of cards? I am just
thinking that with two decks with random cards that one
set of those cards may favor that person in the short-run.

I suppose anything is possible. Answers and clever jokes
appreciated /images/graemlins/wink.gif

If the question is, in a hand dealt game, are the cards dealt in a truely random manor?
Answer: No.

Might an inperfect shuffle of a new setup cause a less than random distribution of cards in the short term?
Answer: Yes

Will replacing one non-random shuffling routine with another result in a player getting "better cards"?
Non-random does not mean 'biased', in that player X will always get sub-standard cards. So, no.
