How can one possibly win MTTs over and over??

I have a few theories...:
1. Wait for a big hand, double up, wait for another big hand, double up again, loosen up.
2. Pick up small pot after small pot by severly outplaying your opponents.
3. Have an image so that other people are afraid of you.

Any other theories??

1) flop sets
2) win coinflips

I would say it takes a combination of all those, depending on the situation and stage of the tournament. One thing I would add that I am trying to work on because I think it is how the pros have such an edge is paying close attention to every hand and every bet. Knowing how each person at the table plays and how they bet, raise, and call and how much in each situation has a big effect on your decisions.

Be better than the field over and over, and let variance take its course.

Come from behind at least once in a tourney, and/or "get lucky".

Not be cold-decked. What I mean by cold-decked, is to have a very good hand run into a better hand....KK, QQ vs AA...Two-pair vs a set...Top pair vs two-pair.
