I don't have the HH off hand, but last week sometime I was down to 85 chips with 4 left, and ended up winning the tourney in no less than 25 hands. $33 level, got a couple lucky hands along the way obviously but it felt damn good to win that one!

Well, previous to the HU, he had shown a willingness to call raises with most anything, so I wanted to make sure if we saw a flop I got some more chips in there from him before I took the pot down. I'm also not a big proponent of slowplaying Aces ever, especially HU, so usually I play them no differently than I normally would any raising hand. If he had already shown a propensity to raise allin versus a limp, then I would have been much more likely to limp, but I think the blinds dictated that type of play more here than anything else. As to why I only raised to 600, that's because my second card was red.

You killed him post-flop in the early hands to get to a 'normal' HU situation. It's good the blinds were so low giving you some room to maneuver after doubling up from 700.

It's always nice to make a big comeback in a tourney. Your opponent played very poorly there. I liked your play except for the hand above. Will you explain your thinking here?

Here's my analysis. I don't like your reraise to 1600. If he calls the pot is now 3200 and if you miss the flop you are in bad shape. What do you do on the flop if you miss and he pushes? There is a good chance here that he has a PP, which makes this a coin-flip if he pushes.

The min bet is weak and could be a range of hands, but I think you should flat call here and go on from the flop. A reraise is too strong of a move in this situation w/AK.

The stacks are still deep here. So a push is not the best option because you may very likely be in a coinflip situation. He has played very weak up to this point and if you both catch a piece of the flop, he will likely pay you off.

What was your thinking? I'm guessing that you are trying to take this down preflop with a good reraise. However, he has shown a tendency to play hands with you. He is likely on tilt and will call hoping to get lucky.

I just recently started playing the $50+5's SNG's again and am trying to shake the rust off.

I'm not a big fan of slowplaying, and would have had no problem taking down the 600 Preflop. Fact of the matter is, unless you have a big pair, your thinking predicates NEVER reraising preflop. Also, you are missing an improtant factor. I can't miss the flop and have him push, because I'm First to act, and if I miss the flop, I'M pushing. Just because things were going my way up to that point doesn't necessarily mean I can continue with it as play goes on. Also, notice that if I just call the PF, he has a pretty good chance to get off his hand if I CR him on the flop. Also, as I've stated elsewhere, I don't have many hands that i ALWAYS play the same each time.

I felt confident he didn't have anything and had no outs wanted to give him rope just in case he had nothing. Obviously, if I bet out anywhere, I make 250 less on the hand. On the off chance he DID have a good hand, I wanted to keep the pot size manageable, so I likely don't CR the flop.

Again, I play different situaton differntly often.
