From their website, tonight's show is scheduled to be 8/16 limit including basic holdem lessons and strategy from their "Poker Dean". Combined with tonight's WPT showing of the Legends of Poker, it's a night full of action at the Bike.

the only reason i'd object to the icon is that when i'm surfing 2+2 in class, i get some funny looks re: some of the poster's icons.

Bart doesn't usually do the Wednesday shows. Although we may have Charlie Shoten commentating tonight.

They need to stick to the NL games (perferably the 500) limit holdem is like watching paint dry.

lawpoker

Saturday they're planning to do 20/40 limit, maybe that'll be better.

Kevin..

Kevmath

It's their Poker College person, she'll only be there the first hour. You'd think they'd have stuck her in the first week when they debuted the program, but I'm sure it can be tolerated for another 40 minutes or so.

So you'd ignore watching the 400/800 game tomorrow as well?

Also, you'd think they'd stick something introductory (like 30-45 minutes long, broken into segments) on the website instead of using up an hour of live coverage.

It's a weak tight table (at least the left side)...so he's running over them. He knows that if he gets raised they have the goods. They aren't raising enough so that he gets to chase stuff down (str8).

Bart's English teacher gave him an F in reading comprehension, I'm assuming.

He should reread the bit about how to play when your opponent's are playing loose and how to play when they're playing tight.

However, since he said my full name and almost pronounced it entirely correctly, I'm going to let him slide as I do enjoy hearing him talk for a dozen hours a week.

Oh yeah this was bugging me, right before Kenna came in there was a pot between Shirley and Seat 7, the cards on the screen (never saw them on the actual camera) said 68o for seat 7 and AKo for Shirley. The board at the river was KQ966 but Shirley scooped the pot. I think either the cards were displayed wrong or seat 7 misread his cards (he just mucked an never turned them up).

2) i have had the flu for the last week, am doped up on dayquil and shivering under 2 shirts and a sweater...a little mercy wouldn't kill you.

and yeah, whoever said "women hate women" is right. as can be seen from the empty but blatently rude commentary posted by women on this site.

EASY BUDDY! Shesh...some one is a little upset about what she saw...AS YOU STATED if you "had played any hands to the river" or If there had been any action at that table other than the deck mowing down Kenna, then there would have been something else to talk about. Also, when you first turn on live at the bike generally the first thing you notice is the appearance of people (or who is playing - "fat boy", Denny(our hero /images/graemlins/grin.gif),...). As for the statement "there are plenty of ....men - EXACTLY - you made my case for me with that comment! While it didn't look like it was very cold in there (everyone had short sleeves on - that wasn't wearing a dress shirt), I will buy that. I usually find the air a little cooler than most.

I also found it interesting that you made no comment about the "very doable" comment. I guess you like that one!?!?

If anyone should be pissed at us it's seat 9. Not only did he get completely crapped on...we dogged him non-stop.

Having said all that I have no beef with you. I think you need to worry a little less about what is said or stop playing the "Live at the Bike" table. Because if you show up wearing something funny, looking like Annie Duke, or showing cleavage, we WILL make a comment.

And...having said that /images/graemlins/grin.gif ...wear whatever the hell you want. If you start worrying about what we are doing...well, God have mearcy on you game. Anyway, be glad we weren't commenting on your game - that must mean you are doing something right! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

but seriously, i was (am) sick and it just never ceases to amaze me the lowest common denominator that men chose as discussion points. after last weeks lively discussion, i had higher standards for you folks! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

and what you said, about tearing apart seat 9, that's because of his PLAY, not what he was wearing! i'd LOVE to have you "tear apart" my play...that would be something worthy of internet banter (i enjoy defending my plays....i enjoy thinking about poker, period)..i guess i was hoping you'd give me better material to respond to then " she wears a sweater" /images/graemlins/smile.gif

oh yeah, and i didn't respond to the "doable" comment because, what the hell am i supposed to say about that? yes i am? no i'm not? you're a pervert stop thinking about that and say something about poker instead? (i chose the latter approach. that should of come across in my first response).

Why the heck would you show your 89 bluff?

jana
03-10-2005, 04:26 PM
were you watching the game? we didn't see a flop in 6 hands! anything to promote some action

besides, it wasn't a total "bluff". i had 8-9 of spades, the flop was 4-5-7 one spade. so i had two over cards (that i assume are live), a gut shot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw....all together that's 11 outs...even if i get called i'm almost 50-50 to hit my outs

i just SHOWED the 9 high because EVERYONE was talking about the table being too tight...

note that a few hands later, when it folded to me on the cutoff and i raised Q-9 (again, not a total steal) i got the 5 seat to JUST CALL me w/ J-8 off! he outflopped me but that's not the point....showing the bluff helped induce further bad play...thus the answer to your question.

PuckNPoker
03-10-2005, 04:49 PM
Or you could maintain your rock image and keep taking free blinds. It, at best, promoted "action" for all of 1 hand.

You also table coach too much, it doesnt matter if you know the person or not when you table coach, you will make the people who arent in the hands tighten up (maybe they dont understand why it is a bad play and then dont want to appear stupid and make bad plays because you might say something so they only play good cards). Which is exactly what happened. The last thing a knowledgeable poker player should be talking about at the table is poker.

On a related note I'm curious if anyone has tried WM Recorder (http://www.wmrecorder.com/index.php). There is some mention of this program in this (http://tinyurl.com/529tu)thread. Anyway, I've heard that a show is about 500 megabytes, which should fit on a CD (I don't have a DVD burner).
