Party $11. Later levels where the BB is at least 100 or greater (and often my stack is less than 10X the BB)...

I am in the BB and everyone folds to the SB who just completes. In the past when I have such few chips I would often raise all in with any 2 cards.

Like for example tonite:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

SB (t1325)
Hero (t1050)
UTG (t1505)
MP (t2000)
Button (t2120)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
3 folds, SB completes, Hero ?

I went all in here and he called my all in with A5 to knock me out.

So lately I have been finding at the $11 level, people in the SB will simply complete but then if I raise all in they will call that raise with a pretty crappy hand. For example from tonite:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (3 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Hero (t1085)
Button (t5020)
SB (t1895)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises to t1085 (All-In), SB calls t785.

Flop: (t2170) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: (t2170) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t2170) 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t2170

Results in white below:
Hero has 6h As (three of a kind, nines).
SB has Qh Td (three of a kind, nines).
Outcome: Hero wins t2170.

So my question is how do you play with a stack of less than 10BB when someone completes? Anything decent and I am pushing but what about the so-so range of hands? Push or simply check and hope to get a piece of the flop and/or outplay him post flop?

Keep pushing... but don't do it so fast.

PS- I'm not joking.

Like anything in poker, it depends. Do you have a read on the guy just completing his SB? Is he "always" limping with a weak Ace or "always" with a suited connector? Trust your instincts if you have a read - sometimes you raise and sometimes you fold. All-in or fold time doesn't always mean push with 72o.
