Paradise Poker 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (7 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, MP2 calls, SB calls.

Flop: (13 SB) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP2 folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (10.50 BB) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.50 BB

MP2 is LAG, no real read on SB.

After checking this one over I thought I could've saved myself 1BB by 3 betting. If he caps and leads the turn I think I can safely fold. What about if he doesn't cap yet leads the turn? Or should I just call down against an unknown? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Calling down here is fine IMO. The pot's pretty big compared to what you need to put in.

I'd actually probably only be saving about half a BB if I could fold this if villain capped the flop and led the turn. The reason is; if I'm behind I'm going to be getting just the right price to see the river if it were somehow half a BB. So if there's a one in 20 something chance that villain could cap the flop and lead the turn without having a king, we should just call down. I hope someone understands this, I am teh sux0r at explaining. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

What do you think?

Don't forget that you've got around a 5% chance of spiking an Ace, on the average, which is worth about .5BB in a pot this size.

When you combine the possibilities (slim) that your hand is good with the possibility that you will improve, I think a calldown isn't really that bad. If the action were such that you could get trapped in a raising war between people, then you would have to consider dumping on the turn, but HU, a calldown is fine, especially sans-read.
