What's the british low-budget version of Dawn of the Dead?

Has british people, they're running from zombies, they go to a military compound, etc etc

Are you talking about Shaun of the Dead? This was a comedy, but contained british people and was pretty funny.

Thing is, me and my stepdad were talking about some movie, and the topic came up over "Resident Evil" and he was talking about the movie where the british 20-somethings were running from Zombies.

So, I ask him, "Wait, doesn't a dad get infected when blood drips into his eye?"

"Yes"

"And they go to a military compound, right?"

"Yep"

"That's not Resident Evil, that's Dawn of the Dead"

"No it's not, it's Resident Evil"

"No way"

"Bet you $10?"

"Deal!"
