most seem to work well

--- i dont really like pins/clips, they could damage the tie

Does your tie really get in the way that much when you are eating?

I have more of a problem when I need to wash my hands. I need to lean down and over the sink and my tie would hang right in the water, so I flip it over my shoulder. But when eating, I do nothing.
