If he's a true rock then call. But raising for value isn't bad with 3 limpers ahead. Are you considering folding?

I considered all three options.

against a rock? even if you can count on the bb coming along >50% you're getting 1.5:8, maybe 1.5:10 to flop a set and pwn him.
but your relative position sucks, you won't be able to make up a lot on subsequent streets by trapping the field. if you were in the BB and the SB called i think you could go for it. here? it's close. i think raising is bad, and calling might be, too. i want to say fold (in fact, i just did), but since i'd never make that fold myself... call.
i'm editing this AGAIN because i don't know what crack i was smoking.
but i'm leaving the text up above to shame myself to think before typing.
but for the record, i know precisely why i was wrong.

I think your relative position is pretty good against the raiser.

My relative position advantage wasnt that great considering he wouldnt autobet unimproved AK, allowing me to check raise. Betting out 99 onto a flop of 7-5-8 wont help too much against protecting from K-10 and QJ.

but you can bet into the field and when he has a monster he'll raise it on the end.
which is nice if you hit a 9.

I was arguing more about the ability to trap the field if you flop the set. Sometimes you just can't protect your hand and should bet for value.

There is a 0% chance I fold any pocket pair here. And I'm not 3-betting OOP against a rockish opponent. Guess what that leaves?
