greetings, i am hosting my first poker game later this month with 9 players and i am having a $50.00 buyin with no rebuys or addons. I have purchased a 1000 piece 4 color chip set ... i was hoping to have the initial value for each player at $1500 ... can anyone suggest what values to make the chips and what the blinds should be and when do they go up (is this on a timer or when players r eliminated) ...the other question i had is that should there be a single dealer for the game moving the button around or should each player deal ... thank u in advance for any suggestions ....richard

Re: Dealing. If the players are fairly inexperienced in dealing holdem, or in shuffling, AND you have at least one guy who IS comfortable doing it, then have a designated dealer. It moves the game a long much more smoothly.
