I think this is a misconception.

If women drivers are worse than men why do men pay higher insurance premiums?

That said men are inherently better at directions given thousands of years of hunter/gatherer genetic programming.

because society puts pressure on the guys ages 16-24 to have shiny, fast, modded civics ... with which they race.

I don't mean all, just most. Every single female in my family is a questionable driver. IMO, there seem to be problems with decision making, confidence, and just overall awareness of their situation while driving among the gender.

i think that there are more men drivers on the road---so of course if there is an accident it i more likely a male driver

i do think its much easier to drive while putting on make-up and talking on the phone

cheers

Good question. I was almost killed by a woman driver while walking on a sidewalk, and the sidewalk wasn't even near a highway. Unfortunately, the sidewalk did happen to be in somewhat close proximity to a parking lot where an asian woman had parked her car. I noticed the asian, woman driver after a sign post came crashing down about 15 feet away from me. The asian-woman had somehow jumped over the parking curb, ran over the signpost, and ended up doing a 360 in the grass about 10 feet away from me.

I'm not sure how she managed to do this, as her car was parked and stationary before it vaulted over the curb. I can only guess that she a) put the car in "D" when the car really needed to be in "R" and b) she mistaked the gas pedal for the brake and c) she pushed the pedal she thought was the brake to the floorboard. Luckily, I wasn't run over, am still alive, and didn't pee my pants.

I'm also trying to help my neighbor (another asian woman) to pass her driving test after 3 previous failed attempts. She almost got us both killed when she came to a complete stop on an off-ramp (about 450 yards afore the stop light) with several cars barrelling down upon us.

Woman drivers are bad, but I agree with Adam Corolla when he says that asian women are the worst drivers in the world.

Women are worse drivers, but they're typically worse in a way that leads to relatively minor accidents. Men's insurance rates are higher because the way bad men drivers are bad is in the way that causes much more spectacular and deadly accidents. A few terrible men drivers cause many more deadly highway-closing type problems than the swarm of bad female drivers running up a pile of fender benders and wrecked light posts.

I know a male driver who did the exact same thing, although the hose didn't come off with it and he didn't get onto the road before he realized it.

Still women are worse dirvers.

Easy. The men running the insurance industry know better than to go home and tell their wives that women suck at driving.

My grandpa always told me the turning point in the women's lib movement was the invention of the automatic transmission. Whya re they unable to drive an automatic at all?

That same thing happened last time I was in Vegas except it was two guys refueling the plane and they drove away in the refueling truck with the nozzle still in the plane. The plane couldn't fly , I got an extra day in Vegas which I spent playing casino poker for the first time.

FWIW, the guys refuel for a living. Probably a hundred planes a day - they're bound to make the mistake once.

The lady in the picture must fill up her car tank maybe once a week.

We are much more skilled at driving, but we often have a lower winrate because we take shots at much tougher games.

Unscientific observations that involve gender: OK.
Unscientific observations that involve race: bad.

Got it.

Each gender gets pulled over for violations an equal amount of times, but women (insert "cry" - or something else - here) to get out of tickets much more often, meaning less reported violations for them.

Women have fewer accidents than men
BUT men have fewer accidents per mile than women
WHICH would be expected from the practice effect of driving more miles per year.

Anyway, why are women poor at judging distance?
Because men are always telling them that this (*puts thumb and forefinger a couple of inches apart*) is 6 inches.

*sigh* maybe that's not the best joke for the internet.
