There is no point trying to specifically avoid people in Step 5s because there are more winning players than you know and you will never find a "good" game. Just Do It.

If you really want to know, datamine them for about a month until you have at least 1K (2K is better, 5K optimal) hands on 6-7 of the 10 players at any given table. Then, look at their numbers in Playerview and also look at some key hands (basically everything they show down.)

This will take far more time than you or anyone in their right mind likes but I guarantee you your game will be much better off and you'll spot the guys to focus on almost immediately.

edit: To answer your specific question, I won't name names but a good chunk of the regulars lose (tons of) money and a good chunk of the guys that just pop in and out are the most consistent long term winners in those games.

Beyond74 (who may have changed name to Stockton2005), Nutzrealbig, chubbytpa, actionmonkey

You should, however, put a "LowJack Device" on Skipper "F'ing" Bob to see when he is playing; that $$$$ is deader than the chance that Yugo will get laid in Vegas /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nutzrealbig, I've watched a few times.

Any opinions on Wartnose?

The way I've started "tracking" who are the better players is by finding out who's 4 tabling 'em. It's just a start. I bought PokerTracker 5 days ago, but it's collecting dust. Hopefully, I can learn to use it someday.

The leaderboard will tell you the regulars.

They won't necessarily be the best players, but it makes sense to me that if they survive long enough to be up on the leaderboard that they are at least reasonable.

You'd be (very) surprised.
