Im more interested in the river, but ill take tips for the entire hand. Is 3betting the flop a must every time? ive found lately that im already behind to 2pairs and sets??

Flop: I reraise every time here. Particularly as it might have knocked the UTG out, and it looks like he had an 8.

Turn: If UTG is still in I reraise, other wise I play it like you.

River: If MP1 had 2 pair, then the river just won you the pot as you have improved to Aces up. I think you getting scared on the flop and turn may have lost you this pot. As it was the river was a fold being 2 bets to you.
