Do they still play 3-6-12 HE in the casinos in Lake Charles and Kinder? Any information on those games (number of tables, how crowded, etc) would be helpful. Thanks!

the Isle of Capri in Lake Charles has a 3-6-12 game. It's super loose, so you need a decent bankroll to cover the fluctuations of people playing any two cards. I have heard that they spread the same game in Kinder but havent been there. good luck !

No foldem holdem still played at Isle of Capri in L.C. and Coushatta in Kinder. PLayed at Coushatta Saturday while waiting for 10/20 game. I STILL cannot beat those guys, lol.

Are the only spreads 3-6-12 and 10-20? Is there something in between that might resemble a real poker game?

3/6/12, 10/20/40 at the Isle
3/6/12, 10/20, 15/30, PL w5-10 blinds at Coushatta(stay away from this game it is full of the best PL players in the world).

The 10/20/40 at Isle is a relatively easy game most nights with lots of drawers shooting at you. If you can take the swings this game is very juicy. I have booked some tremendous wins in this game. Also a few losses when things were going bad. Be ready for some swings though.

The 10/20 at Coushatta varies alot, sometimes tourists playing terrible, sometimes full of guys who just busted out of the Saturday tourney who are playing loose trying to recover losses, sometimes a little tougher at a table full of regulars. But overall a money maker.

The 15/30 at Coushatta? Pretty tough game. Few tourists, mostly solid players although the occassional loose goose does sit down, but rarely for long. You can make money in this game and I have on many occassions, but most peoples EV should be higher in the 10/20.

The PL at Coushatta, I don't play it, but if you want to see absolute WORLD CLASS PL play then watch this game. John Bonetti is the most famous of the regulars at this game, but make no mistake most of the rest of them have the patience of Job and they will beat you in the end. World class players who will wait hours or even days to trap you and they WILL break you when they do. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

When I get the urge to play 3/6/12 from now on I'm goin with the better odds of the slots. At least there I can feel more in control of my own destiny, lol.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have neither the bankroll nor experience to play in a 10-20 or higher game. Double-unfortunately is those two places are the only ones within a day trip of Houston.

Guess I'll re-read the section on loose games in HPFAP21 and take my chances at 3/6/12.
