Finding lost document on MS word (please help me quick)

I know that microsoft word randomly autosaves...

I had someone close a file that I hand't saved yet... Where can I find it/ how do i recover it? Suggestions?

Those all tell me basically (i think) that word should automatically start the program up and load the autorecovered page...

What if this is not the case? A confusing question for the likes of me.

Try AutoSave and AutoRecover within MS Word help and it should suggest some folders to look around in. Depending on your settings, you may well be SOL.
