Standard Deviation

Through my first 8k hands or so, I have a standard deviation of 19.66BB per 100 hands, which sounds high. Is this due to my small sample size, or my style of play? If it's the latter, does it represent a flaw in my play, or is it not something I should worry about?

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine's almost the same through 35K. It closely corresponds to my VP$IP.

I think the more betting you do, the higher your deviation is, because obviously the more you can lose in swings.

I wouldn't really look to much into it, the figures more useful for making a few cool calculations on bankroll etc
