No great reads on the opponents. My question is was my fold here correct?

If you were going to call the flop, you might as well have bet out.

This being said I would check/fold. 2 overcards, 4 players, with a hand that suffers terribly from reverse implied odds (2 outs to win if you're behind aleady and there are so many cards that can still fall that will put you even further behind)

I probably show this hand down. You are closing the action on the turn and likely on the river too.

MP2 could very easily be betting overcards. If UTG+1 had a J he would probably raise the turn. That begs the question of what is UTG+1 calling with? A 9 has you beaten but you're ahead of most other holding that seem likely.

check-fold the flop.

It looks like a check-fold, especially with both players calling. If MP2 had bet and it were folded back to you, check-raise if you're feeling frisky (as overcards as a legitimate possibility) and villain is weak tight-ish (meaning he might bet-fold to the flop check-raise or lay down overcards to a turn bet). But generally, you should get comfortable check-folding these hands when you have no reads. It's simply not worth fighting for with such a weak hand.
