I can get this monitor for 1K. Is it worth it?

I hear from my techie friends that this is a wait-and-see, much like new model cars. Lotta times with these the bugs have to be shaken out first.

either of the 2001 series will do nicely though

Through my job....Dell is our desktop and monitor providor and I would be purchasing at our discount. Being in IT has some advantages /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Would work notice if say you ordered 20 or so /images/graemlins/laugh.gif There is room for profit there.

i don't frequent this reviewer's site (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1764458,00.asp) much, but fwiw, they seem to speak favorably of it.

i would point out, that if it's for multi-tabling poker, at your discount, you could also probably get 2 2001FP's for the same price and 8X-table vs probably 4X.

Yeah I read that review and it seems good. While I will play poker on it, its not the only thing I will be using that PC for. Things such as movies, video editing, gaming etc are all things I do with my PC and 24 inches of LCD goodness might work better than 2 20s....plus I have an 18inch LCD already as a secondary.

This will also be my first purchase from my poker winnings so it seems extravagent enough to brag about getting with other people's money /images/graemlins/grin.gif

i would much prefer 2 2001fps over this. standard resolution monitors and more space.
