I have A /images/graemlins/heart.gif K /images/graemlins/heart.gif. There's $200 in the pot when my opponent ($800) goes all-in on a Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. I have $700 left and my opponent shows me A /images/graemlins/club.gif A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. Do I call?

Twodimes says I'll win 37% of the time, so I figure out of 100 times:
37 times I'll win 1600 ($59,200) and 63 times I'll lose 700 (-$44100) for a profit of $15,100, or $151 per hand. Can this be right? It doesn't seem right to call a huge overbet like that when your only a litle better than 2-1.

Your mistake is how much money you will win if you win the hand; you only win $1000. Out of 100 times, you will win $1000 37 times and lose $700 63 times. The net profit over 100 hands is 37 * 1000 - 63 * 700 = -7100. Fold.

Don't include your 700 in the amount you win. You will win 900, not 1600.

Actually, he can only put you in for $700 more, so you're risking $700 to win $900 and you're only getting 1.29:1 on that bet...

Thanks, I noticed that about 2 minutes ago. I guess I had a brain fart or something.

I included that in my post... I think you responded to the wrong post.
