Yeah, I play it the same way against an aggressive player and a calling station.

I think you can find a fold in there somewhere, either on the turn or the river. This is exactly how I would play a set if I were UTG. This is also how you should be playing a set in this spot. If he has a set, mark him down as a good player and avoid him.

Not the first time I've seen a post like this.
I am curious - why the stop 'n go if you have a set? If you're in EP with what you're pretty sure is the best hand, why not just 3-bet the flop and lead the turn? Are you really that much more likely to get raised on the turn if you just call the flop raise?

I think it's because is you 3-bet the flop, you force mp1 to call two cold. With the stop-and-go, you can get another BB out of MP1.

But I'm not good.

Shill, are you folding on the turn for the first bet?

Folding to the initial turn bet would be pretty weak-tight. I would either fold to the 3-bet if I felt I was drawing dead or call the 3-bet and fold the river UI if I felt that I could draw out on him. He surely can't be giving us all of this action with QJ...

But by that point, we're getting 1:12. At some point, we're simply tied to the pot.

I tend to just call the turn bet, and try to show the hand down as cheaply as possible.

Calling it down after the turn bet looks like the best option to me. You're probably beat but by the turn the pot is big enough. That being said I dont really see UTG leading into you on the turn without a hand at least as good as KQo.
