Hindsight is 20/20, but what was I thinking? Was this play too -$EV, due to the short stack being blinded out in the next orbit? What would you do in this situation?

This is a tough one, but I think folding is the right play with the big stack to act behind you. 66 in the co is one of those 'borderline' hands. I think you stay away from those in this situation.

This seems like a good push. Taking down the blinds goes a nice way towards a good shot at second place. You're not too likely to run into a big hand, and unless the big stack is very loose I wouldn't be worried about anything but AK-AJ, 77+. Yes, sometimes you will run into 77+ and be pissed, but if that happens, just curse the deck and move on.

I'd push here without hesitation.

i like the push here

many times you'll take out the blinds and you're probably in ok shape if you get called

if you eat another orbit of blinds and by some miracle the shortstack doubles up, then you don't look too smooth for folding 66 here.

66 is a hand you want to steal the blinds with but not get called. So what is the chance you won't get called? How is the Big Stack playing? He has enough to call you down with marginal holdings. The BB probably won't call unless he wakes up with a monster. SB may feel desperate enough to call but he may also fold hoping the BB calls so he can sneak into the $$. How often have you been stealing? The more times you do it the more of a chance you'll get called. I think my default would be to push although I would consider these things first.

Throw it away.
