Excuse the multi hand post but I need some general advice regarding small pairs. I am planning on posting a few different sets of small pair hands this week to try and plug some leaks.

HAND 1:
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif.
4 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls.

No one else in the hand so I raised first in. Both blinds are pretty loose/agg - 40/10 or so...

Flop: (6 SB) 2/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB folds.

Just follow up the preflop raise with a bet here. Pretty scary board for everyone. After all I have the 8 high flush draw right?

Final Pot: 3.50 BB

HAND 2:
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB completes, BB checks.

This time I limped because of the additional limper.

Flop: (5 SB) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Mabye I should bet this flop if it is check to me?

Turn: (2.50 BB) 7/images/graemlins/club.gif (5 players)
SB bets, BB folds, UTG calls, Hero folds, MP2 folds.

Now why did I check the flop. Now I puss and fold. If no one has an ace my 88 should be solid here.

River: (4.50 BB) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
SB checks, UTG checks.

Final Pot: 4.50 BB

HAND 3:
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif.
3 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, MP1 calls.

One limper - this time I raise - might drive out some high cards from the blind.

Flop: (8 SB) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, MP1 folds.

Bingo - set.

Turn: (6.50 BB) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

River: (10.50 BB) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB folds.

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

Hand 3 looks pretty standard and played easily.

Comments are appreciated.

Hand 3 is the only interesting hand

hand 1 - fine

hand 2 - bet flop

hand 3 - well played. Though, I'd be tempted to build this small pot.

Hand 1 is standard.
Hand 2 you should bet the flop.
Hand 3 you should just call the flop, then raise the turn.

hands 1 & 3 are standard.

hand 2 i raise preflop and bet the flop. the turn will play differently now, but i'm certainly not folding to an undercard.

all three hands are fine. I dont think im folding in hand 2.. maybe to a face card. Not an under..
