Statistically there has got to at least one player who has gotten lucky in a couple big tournaments and is now considered a poker star. I dont like to bash players but was just thinking if there are 50 very good tourney players over the last 3 -5 yrs possibly up to 5 could be very mediocre players.
any opinions?

I would say if you took the "top 50", more than 5 are mediocre and have got lucky.
