Paradise Poker 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, UTG calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls.

River: (10.50 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Preflop call is ok, right? What about the rest? Do I bet the river and fold to a raise? Opponent isn't tricky so I can safely fold to a river raise.

hi-
pf call is ok, imho, but might be borderline.
i think i'd lead out on the flop. were you planning to check raise a bet from UTG+1 if he had bet the flop?
bet the river and fold to a raise. (look up clarkmeister's theorem in threads around here)

Yes, bet this river. That forth club is many times your friend and your only hope of winning a hand you are most likely behind (depending on MP2's CC range).

Out of position and with only one caller, I fold this preflop.

hey jay-
i do think the pf call might be close, but not only is there one cold caller, but there is no reason to assume the BB will fold for just one more, and UTG is almost definitely calling one more. A9s 5 ways is not bad, though our position does suck to play our draw aggressively, should we flop a draw.

Clarkmeister's theorem gets cited around here a fair amount (anyone have the link to the original post of that?), stating that if you're out of position HU and there's a 4 flush on the board, bet.

MP2 betting the flop for you (rather than UTG+1) worked out great for your check raise, even if it didn't have the desired effect of knocking out the rest of the field. At least you got folds on the turn.

The preflop call is close. If I was feeling frisky at a loose, passive table, and UTG+1 had loose preflop raising standards, I'd call, but if he was a rock, it's probably a fold. Without the cold caller and/or UTG, it's probably a fold, too.

Fold preflop. Isn't it very likely that you could be up against a bigger ace?

I would call from the BB, getting what looks to be 8 to 1. From the SB, I treat it like a cold-call almost, so I chuck it.
