Party 50+5. 4 handed 150/300 blinds

Button has 300 chips. Hero has about 1500. BB has about 4K

Folded to Hero in the SB with ATo.

Hero's action?

If you choose fold, what hands will you push with here?
If you choose push, what do you fold?

If for some reason you want to call, please explain.

I would move allin. I'll get back to the 2nd part later...

any reads on the BB?

I think I push because I don't want to limp into the money with hardly any chips to win a chance at first. Absolutely no limping unless you read that he is passive enough to check. Then maybe you can push the rest if you catch any part of the flop.

So if OP stated this correctly, stacks are:

SB (hero): 1500
BB: 4000
UTG: 4800
Button: 300

When you get back to the 2nd part later, please explain why this is a push. It's not a push at the $33 level (with relative similar stack sizes).

This is an EZ fold IMO.

I push AA, KK, QQ, & JJ - depending on how I feel, I might push AK, AQ or TT.

The only argument that you can make for pushing here is you think it will help your end game (the extra 450 chips). IMO, there's a high probability BB calls with 77+, AJ+. And depending on the buyin, perhaps worse, 44+.
