Since I got screamed at for my TT laydown before, I figured I would throw this one out and see what you all thought. I figured I didn't want to tangle with chip leader. Looking back on it, I am not sure this was right play.

(FWIW, I went on to take 2nd... woohoo!)

$20 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (6 handed)

UTG (t555)
MP (t2185)
CO (t655)
Button (t1615)
Hero (t1765)
BB (t1225)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

easy laydown considering you are in no danger of getting blinded out, you are facing only stack that could bust you and on top of that you have ATo

AT is not in the same tier as TT...I hope you see why, /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

This is the first time I have posted a hand where I apparently made the right decision!

I will mark this day in my calendar.

BTW- I couldn't help but notice your avatar. Doesn't it seem strange that as your win rate goes up, your variance is increasing? Is this normal?

I would think the variance would stay about the same, regardless of win rate.

Folding is totally fine in these situations.
