this thread really isn't about poker. but if i'm playing poker semi-professionally, and it pays the bills, why am i playing in victoria, bc?
there has to be somewhere cooler to live. ie. bahamas, hawaii, tuscany. i dunno.
aside from the cost of getting there i would assume living costs would be roughly the same. where is somewhere that would be cool to live?

The cost of living in Hawaii is like twice as much as British Columbia. Probably thrice.

ya family and friends are a good aspect but good experiences are priceless.
alright, well let's factor cost of living into the equation as well. also taxes, would i have to pay them if i'm a canadian citizen living abroad?

Yes. Also, if you are playing full time, ie for a living, you pay tax in canada as a canadian citizen as well. No tax on winnings is only for those who are not pro.
