...or just add more to it.

In no particular order:

Fran Drescher
Mary Stuart Masterson
Holly Hunter
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Madonna
Laura Linney
Helen Hunt

Tweeners?

I dunno. You come up with more, and a name for the phenomenon.

Ok, that's a start. Thank you for trying. You're a nice young lad.

Now can someone please give me something with some subtlety and wit?

Good additions to the list.

I think the inclusion of Dreyfus and Masterson precludes any allusion to advanced age. If they were not on the list, I was leaning toward Grey Area.

But they are, so the name must impart something about their collective desirability, yet also let us know that there's no real "heat" involved.

Now, Jay, you didn't really think that up on your own, now, did you? That's right, you didn't.

Now think up one of your own, and stop copying off the other boys' papers.

I was thinking more about their all being sort of sexy without being hot.

Laura Linney's a fine actress. So is Holly Hunter, she's just grating. Her best performance, interestingly, was when she played a mute.

Ok, I'd say that Intermediate Bone Factor is a good working title.

Also your additions to the list are excellent, with the exception of the Bowflex grandma, whose job it is to be hot.

This disqualifies her.

Here's the list now, after additions made by posters, and accepted by me (I only disqualified the Bowflex Grandma):

Fran Drescher
Mary Stuart Masterson
Holly Hunter
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Madonna
Laura Linney
Helen Hunt
Penelope Ann Miller
Sharon Stone
Julianne Moore
Michelle Pfieffer

Note: I almost disqualified Stone and Pfieffer, because you could make an argument that there jobs were, back in the day, just to be hot. But they snuck in anyway.
