Title: Johnny Chan v. David Sklansky
Log: After doubling up twice, Johnny Chan can't make it three in a row. He is still short stacked and goes all in with 7-4, and Sklansky blindly calls, revealing A-J. The board comes K-6-2-6-A, eliminating Johnny Chan after long battles with two very tough opponents today. David Sklansky advances to Round 3, where he will face Scott Fischman.

He made a new thread though /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. If Fischman wins against Sklansky I think I might cry.

Ivey and then Chan, not possible for anyone to have had a harder draw than that so far.

Please God, in the name of all that is holy, let Sklansky beat Fischman.

I just hope they don't mention 2+2 on the broadcasts.

Anyone else think there's going to be a huge influx of new people?

Well Antonio Esfandiari played Lederer 1st round and Daniel second round and now has to play Ted Forrest while David gets Fischman so I think the Magician's draw just got tougher.
And Juanda beat Giang and then Amir and now has Greenstien so that seems to be a pretty tough draw.

How exactly is this event working? One loss and you are out? I think a better way to do it would be bo5 or bo7, but make the blinds go up a little a faster so it doesnt take that long. Yea it would take a little longer, but it would be a better event.

I think I saw some 2+2 shirts in the crowd... Ed Miller among them.. taking his off, doing a strip tease...

About thirty years ago, players thought the publication of Super System would ruin games by educating the fish. The same concerns were expressed with the publication of other good books.

How are the games today?
